A foundation is a nonprofit organization whose primary objective is to improve society. Each has its own base area of interest, and if you meet the requirements of that part of the special interest, you can get foundation grants.
Funds are generally working to improve the living conditions of society in one way or another and, therefore, largely supported by the Government in their good deeds.
There are many active and private foundations in the United States. These funds were established by private individuals, businesses, corporations, etc., as many reasons as the existing funds. One person may simply want to return part of his wealth in the society, another may wish to give money in memory of the beloved, and still qualify for tax exemption.
All funds will provide financial
assistance to an individual for various purposes,
including scholarships,
fellowships, foreign recipients, travel, internships,
residencies, arts and cultural projects, and general
welfare. For example, in one recent year, Joyce
Foundation awarded more than $ 12 million in areas
such as education, culture, economic development,
health, security, government and other special
areas.
This year alone, more than $ 100 billion in foundation grant money will be given to private foundations programs.
